Email Marketing Company Launches Alert Tool

Email marketing firm, Email Data Source, has launched a new product called Alerts. The Alerts notifies a subscriber when any of the 40,000-email marketing messages that the company receives daily match criteria set by the customer.

The idea is simple: it is similar to other systems that keep track of new information on the web, except instead of searching web pages, Alerts scans the more than 40,000 email campaigns we monitor daily to find matches based on search criteria that you set up,” said Bill McCloskey, Chairman and co-founder Email Data Source.

“We’ll notify you when we find a match according to the frequency you establish.”

Alerts provides multiple notification criteria options that can be customized to meet the needs of the subscriber.

Alerts allows subscribers to set up a Keyword Alert rule to monitor their brand, trademarks, tag lines and key phrases.

Subscribers can monitor a competitor’s email program by setting up a Domain Alert Rule to see email publications, in-house lists, 3rd party newsletters, partners, and affiliates that are driving traffic to a particular Web site.

An IP alert rule lets users monitor emails being delivered from a specific IP address or a block of IP addresses.

Email Data Source is offering a free single Alert subscriptions and a 5-pack Alerts subscription for $100 per month with no contract commitment.
